Wayru is a decentralized WiFi network that offloads congested mobile data traffic to community-powered hotspots, reducing carrier costs by UP TO 90% while delivering carrier-grade QoS.

WHY THIS PROJECT, WHY NOW?

Data demand is exploding, and telcos can't keep up. 58% of global mobile data traffic is
offloaded through WiFi networks. Offloading to WiFi can cut the cost per delivered GB and for new coverage compared to relying on 5G, especially indoors. 5G small cells cost $10,000-$50,000 per unit; WiFi equipment is just $100-$5,000.

REVENUE MODEL

Wayru earns from hotspot sales $99-$299 per device, firmware licensing $5-$25 per device/year, onboarding WiFi fleets $5-$25 per device, and charging telcos $0.10–$1.50/GB to offload data.

We also monetize end-users via eSIMs, premium dWi-Fi access, dVPN, and B2B SaaS tools for businesses.
